David McGowan

David McGowan is currently the Group Chief Operating & Data Officer at Carne. Prior to this, they were the Global Director of Shared Services at LinkedIn from November 2016 to October 2019. In this role, David led the Service Delivery, GPO and Transformation teams for Finance. David also supported multiple non-finance functions in transforming and scaling their businesses.

Before LinkedIn, David spent 8 years at Accenture, where they were the Global BPO Operations Lead for LinkedIn Finance Shared Services. In this role, David led the Accenture Operations team delivering within a BPO environment supporting OTC and PTP.

Prior to Accenture, David spent 7 years at Flextronics as a General Manager. In this role, David had P&L ownership and leadership of multiple sites and ~300 staff across 14 clients.

Before Flextronics, David spent 3 years at Kellogg Company as a Product Portfolio analyst.

David McGowan attended Aston University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. David also holds a certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn.

They are on a team with Des Fullam - Group Chief Product & Regulatory Officer, Sarah Murphy - Director of Oversight, and Yvonne Connolly - Group Chief Strategy Officer & Country Head, Ireland. David McGowan reports to John Donohoe, CEO & Founder.
