Edit Khachatryan, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Associate at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching since October 2020, in addition to fulfilling roles as Scholar-in-Residence in Improvement Science and Adjunct Professor at American University School of Education. As the founder and Principal Consultant at Sovoroom since June 2019, Edit Khachatryan brings a wealth of experience from previous positions at the Carnegie Foundation, including Director of the Networked Improvement Science Fellowship Program. Educationally, Edit Khachatryan holds a Ph.D. in Teacher Education & Professional Development from Stanford University and multiple degrees from UCLA, including Master’s degrees in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Education Studies. Prior teaching roles include social science teaching in both Glendale Unified and Los Angeles Unified School Districts and an influential role as a Washington Teaching Ambassador Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education.
