Theophilus Benson

Theophilus Benson is a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University since January 2023, leading research on system designs and algorithms to enhance network performance and availability in cloud and wide area environments. Previously, Theophilus served as an Adjunct Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor at Brown University from September 2017 to January 2024, and as an Assistant Professor at Duke University from August 2013 to August 2017. Theophilus began academic career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University in 2012-2013 and gained early research experience through internships at Microsoft and IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. Theophilus holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Tufts University.
