Senior Automation Test Engineer at Casa Systems

Uditha Bandara has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. In 2004, they started as a Trainee Engineer (Internship) at Electro-Serv (Pvt) Ltd, where they designed control and power panels for industrial applications. Uditha also conducted testing and worked closely with end users for product installation.

In 2006, they interned as a Trainee Engineer at ZTE Corporation, where they focused on expanding CDMA-based Wireless in the Local Loop (WiLL) network and transitioning to Next Generation Network (NGN). Uditha also assisted with coverage and technology expansion for mobile communication networks.

From 2007 to 2010, Uditha worked as an Engineer at Dialog Axiata PLC, where they operated an access network and designed multi-technology solutions for data and voice based on client requirements. Uditha also installed and configured various network equipment.

At the University of Peradeniya, Uditha served as a Temporary Lecturer and Laboratory Demonstrator from 2009 to 2010. Uditha conducted laboratory and tutorial sessions on Microwave Techniques, fabricated microwave circuits, and designed antennas and microwave circuits using ANSYS HFSS and Ansoft Designer.

From 2010 to 2013, Uditha worked as an Engineering Researcher and Teaching Associate at Monash University. Uditha'sresponsibilities included designing a smart antenna system for automated identification of partial discharge activity in a live switch-yard, as well as designing RF circuits and a digital beamforming network for phased arrays.

At Hawk Measurement Systems, Uditha worked as an Engineer in Research and Development from 2013 to 2016. Uditha designed and optimized electronic circuits for industrial instruments, performed schematic capture and PCB layout design using Altium Designer and Protel, and utilized RF designs with Agilent ADS and CST Design Suite.

From 2016 to 2019, Uditha was a Hardware Validation Engineer at NetComm, where they conducted hardware validation and worked on various hardware engineering projects.

Currently, Uditha is working at Casa Systems, Inc. since 2019. Uditha has held multiple roles, including Senior Automation Test Engineer and Senior Hardware Validation Engineer. Uditha'sresponsibilities include automation testing and hardware validation.

Uditha Bandara has a strong educational background in engineering and technology. Uditha obtained a BScEng(Hons) degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Peradeniya between the years 2002 and 2007. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a PhD in Engineering with a focus on Electronics and Computer Systems at Monash University from 2010 to 2015.

Alongside their formal education, Uditha has also obtained various certifications in the field of information technology. In 2003, they received a Certificate in Information Technology from the University of Colombo School of Computing. A year later, in 2004, they achieved an Advanced Certificate in Information Technology from the same institution.

Uditha has also acquired several industry certifications. In 2007, they became a CASS B-MAX FDD Certified Alvarion System Specialist (BreezeMAX FDD) from Alvarion Technologies. In 2008, they obtained SA-200-S10 System Administration for Solaris OS, Part I and SA-202-S10 System Administration for Solaris OS, Part II certifications from Sun Microsystems. Additionally, they earned a Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA certification from Cisco in 2008, followed by two more CCNA certifications in 2016. These certifications showcase their expertise in networking and system administration.
