Michael Bauer

Michael Bauer is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in the finance sector. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel at Caspian Capital LP since June 2022, Michael previously held several positions at Centerbridge Partners, L.P. from March 2016 to June 2022, culminating in the role of Legal & Compliance Manager. Michael's early career includes a Vice President position in Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Governance at Citi from August 2012 to March 2016. Academically, Michael holds an Executive Master of Public Administration from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Spanish Language and Literature from Xavier University.
