Kelly Peterson

Kelly Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kelly started their career as a Marketing Intern at the European Advertising Standards Alliance in 2011, followed by a brief role as a Marketing Assistant at NAVEX Global in 2012. In 2015, they worked as an Operations Assistant at PRECISION SYSTEM SCIENCE USA, INC., and concurrently served as a Graduate Intern in Finance at Provo City, where they implemented an Excel system to track productivity and increased efficiency in power linemen by 7%.

Kelly's next significant role was with the Office of the Utah State Auditor, where they started as a Performance Audit Staff in 2017, identifying control gaps, wasteful spending, and areas of inefficiency in government programs. Kelly later advanced to the position of Senior Performance Auditor, leading a team of auditors, drafting audit reports, and creating a public-facing tool to improve healthcare price transparency in Utah.

In 2019, Kelly joined Castell as a Technical Data Analyst, utilizing SQL scripts, Tableau dashboards, and Jira boards to support the development and improvement of value-based healthcare. Kelly progressed to the role of Senior Technical Data Analyst before being promoted to Analytics Team Lead in January 2022. In their current position, they lead a team of data analysts, acts as a liaison between customers and the analytics team, and assumes the role of SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager.

Kelly's most recent work experience is as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Rowland Hall-St. Mark's School, starting in November 2022.

Kelly Peterson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from Lehigh University between 2009 and 2013. Kelly then pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, which they completed in the period 2015-2017. Prior to their higher education, Kelly attended Northgate High School from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, Kelly has obtained certifications in the field of auditing, including the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., which they obtained in October 2018. Kelly also completed the Microsoft's Introduction to R for Data Science certification from edX in July 2016.
