TJ Hansell, MPA has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and sectors. Starting in 2015, Hansell worked as a Grants Coordinator for the City of Maricopa. In 2017, Hansell served as the Executive Director/CEO of the Cook Native American Ministries Foundation and also volunteered as a Marketing Committee Member for the Grant Professionals Foundation. In 2018, Hansell became the Chief Financial Officer of Tribal Indemnity LLC, a Native American Woman-owned consulting firm.
In 2019, Hansell took on multiple roles, including Program Manager at Trinnovim LLC, a joint venture between Innovim and Trident Inc., and Business Development Manager at Trident Inc. Hansell also served as a Board Member (volunteer) and later as the Board President (volunteer) at the Southwestern Institute for the Education of Native Americans during the same year.
From 2019 to 2022, Hansell worked at Trident Vantage Systems LLC, where they held roles such as Group Lead, Deputy Program Manager/Group Lead, and Program Manager.
Since 2023, Hansell has been the Director of Business Development & Capture at Cayuse Holdings, a company that oversees multiple 8(a) companies providing services to US government agencies, Tribal nations, state/local governments, and commercial sector clients.

TJ Hansell, MPA, has a diverse education background. From 2001 to 2003, they attended Williston State College, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, both in Accounting.
In 2003, Hansell transferred to the University of North Dakota, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Economics. They completed this program in 2005.
Following their undergraduate studies, Hansell continued their education at the University of North Dakota and obtained a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) in 2012. During their time at this university, they also attended the Boys & Girls Club of America Leadership University in 2008. Here, they completed Level 1: Building a Strong Foundation and received a certificate.
In addition to their formal education, Hansell has obtained various certifications. In 2012, they completed the Grants Management Certificate Program - Federal Track from Management Concepts. Most recently, in January 2022, they became a GPA Approved Trainer by the Grant Professionals Association.
