Tyler Huelsman

Senior Research Associate, Strain Development at CB Therapeutics

Tyler Huelsman has a diverse background in research and engineering. Tyler has experience as a Senior Research Associate in Strain Development at CB Therapeutics, where they worked on genetic modification of yeast strains, lab scale fermentations, protein engineering, and gene cloning. Prior to that, they worked at Verdezyne as a Research Associate in Strain Engineering, where they completed a yeast strain library, performed fermentation analysis, and developed new screening methods. Tyler also worked as a Bioengineering Graduate Researcher at UC San Diego, where they reconstructed a metabolic network for algae. Tyler has also worked as a Materials Researcher at the Air Force Research Laboratory, a Bioengineering Amgen Scholar at Amgen, and a Chemical Engineering Intern at NexSens Technology, Inc. Throughout their career, Tyler has demonstrated strong skills in genetics, fermentation, bioinformatics, and engineering.

Tyler Huelsman completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Dayton from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at UC San Diego from 2013 to 2015.
