Zia Ghiasi

Zia Ghiasi has a strong background in data science and research. Zia worked at CCC Intelligent Solutions from 2018 to present, initially as a Senior Data Scientist and then as the Lead Data Scientist - Machine Learning. Prior to that, Zia served as a R&D Engineer Intern at the same company from 2017 to 2018. Before joining CCC, Zia worked as a Computational Scientist at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2012 to 2018. During their time there, they developed a 3D scalable multi-physics flow solver for simulating turbulent supersonic reacting flows. Zia also worked as a Researcher at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2012.

Zia Ghiasi has a diverse education history. From 2000 to 2007, they attended Allameh Helli school, but no specific degree or field of study is provided. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Numerical Simulations at the University of Tehran from 2007 to 2011. Following this, Zia Ghiasi studied High-Performance Computing Scalability at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2012. They then obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago in Numerical Algorithms for Computational Fluid Dynamics, completing their studies from 2012 to 2018. Continuing their education, Zia Ghiasi participated in the MIT xPRO program, specializing in Data Science and Big Data Analytics in 2021. Furthermore, they also earned a Certificate for Data Science: Machine Learning from HarvardX in 2022 and a Deep Learning Professional Certificate from IBM in 2023. Moreover, in 2023, they briefly pursued paragliding training as a P2 Paragliding Pilot at Super Fly Paragliding.
