For Ohmar, philanthropy is a way of life. He has benefitted from others’ generosity and understands the value of giving. By committing his time, talent, and treasure, Ohmar seeks to empower organizations that nurture society’s most urgent needs to transform lives. Ohmar has over 16 years of experience working in fundraising, scholarship program management and leadership for higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and a community foundation. Ohmar has experience securing gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations for client organizations providing students with scholarships; giving patients access to healthcare; providing those in need with shelter, food, and comfort items during extreme weather conditions.

During his time at CCS, Ohmar serves as a mentor and is a member of the recruitment team for the Mid-Atlantic region. Ohmar has a D.M. from University of Phoenix, an M.B.A. from Pfeiffer University, and B.S. from Appalachian State University. Ohmar serves in his community as a board member for Spartanburg Philharmonic and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate. He is Big Brother to a local teen. He also serves on the Advocacy Committee for United Way of the Piedmont and on the Steering Committee for the Marche Gault Scholarship. He established the Land On Top Scholarship, which supports students in the Greater Steps Scholars program in Charlotte, North Carolina.
