Cherie Taglienti

Cherie Taglienti has a strong background in clinical science and research. Cherie currently holds the position of Director, Clinical Science at Celldex Therapeutics, a role they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director, Clinical Scientist at Fusion Pharmaceuticals from April 2021 to August 2021. From July 2019 to April 2021, Cherie served as the Associate Director, Clinical Scientist at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals.

Cherie gained valuable experience at EMD Serono, Inc., where they worked from June 2016 to July 2019. During their time at EMD Serono, they held two roles: Senior Clinical Research Scientist, Immuno-Oncology and Clinical Biomarker Operations Manager.

Cherie is also a co-founder and leader of the BioPharma Interest Group, a networking group dedicated to supporting life science professionals. Cherie fulfilled this role from 2012 to 2017.

Their earlier experience includes working as an Associate Research Scientist at New England Research Institutes, Inc. (NERI) from December 2013 to December 2015. Prior to that, Cherie held two positions at UMass Medical School: Tissue Bank Manager and Postdoctoral Research Fellow.

Throughout their career, Cherie has conducted research, managed clinical trials, and contributed to peer-reviewed journal publications. Cherie has demonstrated strong leadership abilities, a commitment to networking and supporting professionals in their field, and a dedication to advancing the field of clinical science.

Cherie Taglienti holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from UMass Chan Medical School. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biotechnology from Rochester Institute of Technology. Additionally, Cherie has earned certifications as a Certified Scrum Master and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from William George Associates in May 2016.
