JOB TITLE:

Sales Director: Banking

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Sales Director: Banking at Cellulant, you will occupy a role akin to a preliminary stage to our senior sales roles, with a primary emphasis on sales and account management activities rather than extensive strategic leadership. Your core responsibility involves fully owning specific client accounts within your assigned sector. You will be tasked with implementing the strategic sales plan, developed in collaboration with your supervisory leader, to expand Cellulant's market presence and boost revenue growth.

In this role, you will manage significant client accounts, playing a key part in the execution of sales strategies and the maintenance of the client relationship on an ongoing basis. You need to possess a comprehensive understanding of your sector, coupled with strong commercial skills. These abilities are crucial for successfully navigating the intricate landscape of technology sales within the African market. Your role, therefore, serves as a vital link between hands-on sales initiatives and the broader strategic objectives of the sales department, setting the stage for advancement to higher-level sales and strategic positions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales Strategy**:** Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets and Gross Margin targets
  • New Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the payments industry within the Banking Sector
  • Relationship Building**:** Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Market Insight: Provide insights into market trends and customer needs to inform sales approaches.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales performance metrics, contributing to strategic planning.
  • Forecasting: Use current metrics, industry insights and pipeline to create strong forecasts for the senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience and Personal Attributes:

  • Advanced (5-8 years of experience)
  • Deep knowledge of the assigned sector, with a strong commercial orientation.
  • Ability to influence senior-level decision-makers and economic buyers in global companies.
  • A history of effective large account management and existing relationships in the sector are advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of key business metrics, including revenue, Gross Profit, ROI, and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

Desirable Traits:

  • Significant experience in sales, with a strong focus on account management.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to manage significant client accounts and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in implementing sales strategies and contributing to the sales planning process.
  • Insight into market trends, customer needs, and the ability to translate these into effective sales tactics.
  • Experience in collaborating with senior sales leadership to align individual sales efforts with broader organizational goals.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and effectively managing larger accounts.
