Michael Cheng

Michael Cheng has a long and varied work experience. Michael began their career in 1992 as an Educator/Program Director for Kern County Superintendent of Schools. Michael then worked as an Educator for Garden Grove Unified School District from 1998. In 2004, they became an Organizational Development Specialist for Delta Groups. From 2006 to 2007, they were an Enterprise Solutions Intern for Avenue A-Razorfish. Michael then worked as a Consultant for ePlus as National Resource Manager from 2007 to 2009. Following this, they were a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones from 2009 to 2013. Michael then worked as an Assistant Vice President- Financial Solutions Advisor for Merrill Edge from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they became a Vice President - Financial Consultant II for Banco Santander. Finally, from 2016 to present, they have been a Manager, CIF Integration for Centage, a financial modeling development firm for budgeting and financial reporting. In this role, they facilitate data transfer (Centage Interchange Format, "CIF") with python coding (Pandas, Numpy, OpenPyxl, etc.). Michael has also held roles as Senior Consultant and Financial Applications Analyst for Centage.

Michael Cheng completed a Bachelor of Arts in Education from California State University, Fullerton between 1988 and 1992. Michael then pursued a Master's Degree in Education from Northwestern University between 1997 and 2000. Afterwards, they obtained a Masters in Management from Harvard University between 2006 and 2012. In 2020, they obtained a Machine Learning for Business Professionals certification from Coursera and in 2021, they obtained an Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) certification from IBM.
