The Centenary Institute is at the forefront of medical research, solving the greatest health problems facing our community. We make discoveries across biomedical AI, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, inflammation, immunity, age-related, rare and infectious diseases. We research what causes diseases to develop new diagnostics, treatments and cures for some of the most deadly and debilitating diseases affecting society today. This desire to understand the very biology of disease lies at the core of what we do. Once we find out what has gone wrong, we can target these cells and molecules in the search for new treatments and cures. Our scientists are key to important discoveries made here in Australia that will improve the long-term health of all Australians. We are located in the heart of the Tech Central Precinct between the University of Sydney campus and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and within a short distance of the University of Technology Sydney. As the majority of our scientists are professors and clinicians at these institutions, we are able to translate our cutting-edge research into practice.
