Jake Penders

Jake Penders is the Associate Director of Development at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), where Jake has held various roles since April 2019, including Senior Development Officer and Development Officer. Prior experience includes positions at Elevate | Smart Grants for Powerful Social Change as Client Partnerships & Operations Associate, and Senior Project Coordinator, along with a role as Grants Manager at HELP USA. Jake also served as an English Teaching Assistant through the Fulbright Program, focusing on cross-cultural exchange in the Slovak Republic. Additional experience includes memberships with AmeriCorps and the International Rescue Committee, as well as internships in public relations and small business services. Jake holds a Master of Public Administration from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, with a focus on Political Science, Government, History, and Humanitarian Affairs.
