Hannah Malus

Hannah Malus has a diverse work experience. Hannah started their career at Chapman University Center for Global Education as a Lead International Education Peer Advisor, where they facilitated advising sessions and supported senior staff members. Hannah then worked as a Courtroom Mediator at Community Service Programs (CSP, Inc), mediating small claims and civil harassment cases. Hannah interned at the National Women's Law Center as an Engagement and Mobilization Intern, supporting events, briefings, and producing rapid response content. Hannah also gained experience in the environmental sector, working at Greenpeace as a Digital Grassroots Organizer and Supporter Mobilization Fellow, and at the Environmental Defense Fund as a National Grassroots Field Coordinator. Currently, they are at the Center for American Progress, where they have held various roles including Director of Energy & Environment Campaigns, Deputy Director, and Campaign Manager. In these positions, they have managed teams, coordinated operations, and led various projects focused on climate action, environmental justice, and storytelling.

Hannah Malus has a diverse education history. Hannah attended American University for the Washington Semester Program at the School of Professional & Extended Studies. Hannah then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) at Chapman University, majoring in Political Science and Peace Studies with a minor in Sociology. Additionally, Hannah studied Ethnic, Cultural Minority, Gender, and Group Studies at the University of Cape Town.

In terms of certifications, Hannah obtained a Level I Certified Running Coach certification from the Road Runners Club of America in July 2022. Hannah completed the "Managing to Change the World" program offered by The Management Center in January 2021. Hannah also acquired expertise in storytelling through the "Storytelling 101" course provided by Story District in February 2020. Hannah gained skills in building website user interfaces through CodeAcademy, although the specific completion date is not provided.
