Haya Akbik

Haya Akbik is the executive assistant to the president and chief executive officer at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she worked on the 2020 campaigns of Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) and Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA). Her work also included projects to further advocacy and justice for Syrians affected by the ongoing conflict. She earned degrees in political science and international studies from the University of Michigan.
