Megan Sobel has a strong background in development and fundraising. Mehgan is currently Vice President of Development at the Center for American Progress. Prior to this, they served as Senior Director of Development at the University of California, Berkeley and UCSF. Mehgan was also the Development Director at the Obama Foundation and Associate Director of Development at Georgetown University Law Center. Megan's experience in the nonprofit sector includes roles at the Clinton Foundation and The Brookings Institution. Mehgan has also worked in education as a Lecturer at Seton Hall University, where they developed course syllabi and taught undergraduate students. Megan began their career as a Lipper Intern at the Museum of Jewish Heritage and as a Public Programs Intern at the New York Historical Society.
Mehgan Sobel completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and History from Wagner College, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Mehgan further pursued their academic journey by enrolling at Seton Hall University from 2009 to 2011, graduating with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters.
