Samantha McFarland

Samantha Mcfarland is an experienced professional in coastal research and geographic information systems (GIS), currently serving as the Assistant Program Director and Research Associate at the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown, MA, since July 2016. Samantha has a strong background in unmanned aerial surveys, accuracy assessments, and GIS database management, with previous roles at the City of Shawnee, KS, and the National Park Service, which involved stormwater engineering and resource management projects. Samantha's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Marine Sciences from UMass Boston and a GIS Certificate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, along with significant volunteer experience promoting eco-tourism in Ecuador with the Peace Corps and service as an AmeriCorps Volunteer.
