Devin Mathias is a seasoned fundraising and development professional with extensive experience in nonprofit management and strategic planning. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Development at the Center for Disaster Philanthropy since July 2020, Devin leads efforts to enhance donor impact in disaster giving. Previous roles include Director of Development at More Donors Strategic Partners, Chief Development & Communications Officer at The Cornucopia Institute, and Consultant at Marts & Lundy, Inc. Devin's background also encompasses leadership positions at Grenzebach Glier & Associates, the University of Michigan, and the University of Florida Foundation. Educational qualifications include a PhD (ABD) in Higher Education Administration and an MBA from the University of Florida, along with a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies/Public Relations from Penn State University.

CDP’s mission is to leverage the power of philanthropy to mobilize a full range of resources that strengthen the ability of communities to withstand disasters and recover equitably when they occur. With an emphasis on recovery and disaster risk reduction, CDP aims to: • Increase the effectiveness of contributions given to disasters • Bring greater attention to the life cycle of disasters, from preparedness and planning, to relief, to rebuilding and recovery efforts • Provide timely and relevant advice from experts with deep knowledge of disaster philanthropy • Conduct due diligence so donors can give with confidence • Create plans for informed giving for individuals, corporations and foundations
