State Legislative Counsel at Center for Reproductive Rights

Israel Cook is a legal professional with extensive experience in reproductive rights and advocacy. Currently serving as State Legislative Counsel and previously as a State Legislative Fellow at the Center for Reproductive Rights since October 2020, Israel has also held the position of If/When/How Reproductive Justice State Fellow at SISTERREACH. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Sociology from Transylvania University. Israel has developed skills in program marketing, legal research, and contract drafting through roles such as Law Clerk at Special Olympics and Dean's Fellow at the Women and the Law Program. Additional experience includes serving as a VISTA Development Specialist for AmeriCorps and supervising residential programs at Uspiritus, Inc.
