Gurmit Aujla

Gurmit Aujla has over 26 years of work experience in audit and finance roles. Gurmit is currently the Head of Internal Audit at Central 1 since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BCLC as the Director of Internal Audit from 2009 to 2022. Before joining BCLC, they served as the Director of Internal Audit at Boston Pizza from 2006 to 2009 and at PRA Group from 2005 to 2006. Gurmit also worked as a Senior Auditor at Lehigh Cement Company (Division of Heidelberg Cement) from 1999 to 2005 and as a Senior Associate at PwC from 1995 to 1999.

Gurmit Aujla's education history includes various degrees and certifications in the field of business and management. In 2005, Gurmit completed the Lehigh Applied Management Program at Lehigh University College of Business, focusing on Business Administration and Management. In 1998, Gurmit obtained the CA (Chartered Accountant) and CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). In 2001, Gurmit earned the CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors. In 2011, Gurmit attained the CRISC (Certified Risk and Information Systems Controls) certification from ISACA. Additionally, Gurmit obtained the CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) certification from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors and the CITP (Certified Information Technology Professional) certification from the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) in 2016.
