Daniel Mullen (MBA, MBB, CSM)

Daniel Mullen (MBA, MBB, CSM) has over 25 years of experience in operations, process improvement, data analytics, and workforce management. Daniel began their career in 1996 as a Senior Manager for Premium Management and Revenue Cycle Management at Oxford Health Plans. In this role, they managed Self Billing, Self Funded, and Commissions departments, as well as oversaw inventory and workforce procedures. Daniel then became a Senior Project Manager and Manager of Premium Analyst and Resolution. In 2005, they joined UnitedHealth Group as a Senior Director of UHC Operations, Process Improvement, and Data Analytics. In this role, they conducted various data analyses and collaborated with various information technology leads to implement organizational applications. Daniel then became a Senior Director of Broker and Employer Reporting, Analytics, and Infrastructure Operations, where they determined and implemented data accessibility and delivery strategies. In 2011, they joined Optum as a Vice President of Enterprise Reporting and Analytics and Workforce Planning and Management. In this role, they established an enterprise-wide Optum Workforce systems, reporting, and planning capability. In 2019, they joined Anthem, Inc. as a Vice President of Provider Operations. In this role, they led a team of over 500 global resources focused on increasing the provider experience and bringing 14 commercial and government markets into regulatory compliance for provider delivery. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Owner and CEO of Captured Moments Photography LLC and the VP of Data & Interoperability at ABOUT.

Daniel Mullen is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from Western Governors University. Daniel obtained their Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in September 2016, and their Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from Global Six Sigma USA in February 2006. Daniel also obtained a Pilot - Unmanned Aircraft Systems certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in February 2017. In August 2005, they obtained a Managing Operations certification from Advanced Management Systems. In October 1995, they obtained both a SEC Series 63 and a SEC Series 7 certification from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
