Brian Taylor

Brian Taylor has a strong background in the medical field, with a focus on hospitalist care. Brian began their career as a Medical Resident at Grant Methodist Hospital from July 2007 to June 2010.

Following their residency, they joined Central Ohio Primary Care, where they held various roles. From August 2010 to October 2014, they worked as a Hospitalist across multiple hospital sites, with a flexible schedule that included day, evening, and night shifts. Brian also performed some procedures.

In October 2014, Brian took on the role of Site Leader - Dublin, acting as the liaison between hospital administration and the hospitalist group. Brian addressed staffing, quality, throughput, and interpersonal issues while also continuing to work hospitalist shifts primarily at Dublin, as well as other hospitals.

Their leadership skills were recognized, and in November 2016, they became the Associate Inpatient Medical Director, working closely with the Inpatient Medical Director to provide optimal care across four healthcare sites. Brian oversaw all clinical staff and ensured high-quality care.

Finally, in June 2020, they were promoted to the position of Inpatient Medical Director. In this role, they had oversight of almost 100 hospitalist physicians, 15 APPs, and 30 nurses at four Columbus Ohio hospitals. Brian focused on improving transitions from the outpatient setting to the hospital and vice versa, as well as driving innovation in the areas of value and post-acute care.

Overall, Brian Taylor has a wealth of experience in hospitalist care and has continually advanced their career to take on more substantial leadership roles.

Brian Taylor completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Bowling Green State University in 1999. In 2004, they obtained a Master's degree in Philosophy from The Ohio State University. Brian then pursued their medical education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, earning a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2007. In terms of certifications, Brian Taylor is a Family and General Practice Physician certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
