Cheryl Nishita has a well-rounded work experience in the banking and financial services industry in Hawaii. Cheryl is currently serving as the Vice President & Director of Client Experience at Central Pacific Bank, a financial institution that was established by Japanese American veterans who sought to address the social inequalities faced by immigrant families in Hawaii after World War II. Prior to this role, Cheryl held various positions at Bank of Hawaii, including Vice President, Deposits Product and Strategy Manager, and Vice President & Assistant Sales Manager, Residential Lending. Cheryl also worked as the Vice President & Director of Marketing at Hawaii National Bank, where they focused on building close relationships with clients and providing valuable support. Before that, Cheryl was the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager at AIG Hawaii Insurance Company. Cheryl began their career at First Hawaiian Bank, where they held positions such as Product Management Analyst, Real Estate Loan Officer, and Loan Processor Supervisor. Throughout their career, Cheryl has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving the people of Hawaii and has gained extensive experience in various aspects of banking and financial services.

Cheryl Nishita obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business, completing their studies between 2021 and 2023. Prior to that, they attended the ABA School of Bank Marketing and Management from 2012 to 2014. Cheryl also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business, although the specific years of their undergraduate studies are unknown. Additionally, Cheryl has acquired several certifications, including the Medallia Customer Experience Professional Certification from Medallia in March 2023, the Customer Experience: Journey Mapping certification from LinkedIn in August 2022, and the Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM in February 2022.
