Mark Short

Mark Short is the current VP, Talent & Organizational Engagement & Chief Diversity Officer at Central Piedmont Community College. Mark has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on Talent Management. Mark has previously worked for Duke Energy Corporation, where they were responsible for the development, integration and execution of talent management strategies across the organization. This included Leadership Development, Workforce Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Employee Training, and Diversity & Inclusion. Mark also served as a senior advisor to the executive leadership team on all talent and leadership development matters.

Mark Short graduated with a BA in Economics and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Mark is certified by Hogan Assessment Systems and the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business as an Executive Coach.
