Zahrah Nesbitt-Ahmed

Zahrah Nesbitt-Ahmed is a Research Lead at the Centre for Disaster Protection. She has extensive experience in gender and development research, women's economic empowerment, and social protection. Zahrah has worked with organizations such as UNICEF, World Bank Group, ActionAid UK, and Social Development Direct. She holds a PhD in Human Geography and Urban Studies from The London School of Economics and Political Science, along with an MSc in Urbanisation and Development and a BSc in Human and Physical Geography from the University of Reading. Throughout her career, Zahrah has made significant contributions to the field of women's rights and economic empowerment through research and consultancy work.
