Ben Clifford

Ben Clifford is an experienced project manager and researcher specializing in AI safety and effective altruism. Currently serving as Project Manager for the International AI Safety Report at the AI Safety Institute, Ben oversees collaborative efforts involving 30 countries, the EU, and the UN, under the chairmanship of Yoshua Bengio. Additionally, Ben works as a Research Scholar at the Centre for the Governance of AI, contributing insights for policy memos and risk management related to frontier AI safety for HM Government. Previous roles include Product Manager at The Centre for Effective Altruism, where Ben developed a guidance platform for early career professionals, and Cofounder and CEO of Tyve, an employee giving software startup. Ben's extensive experience also encompasses community growth and management roles at Founders Pledge and technical positions in product engineering and web development. Ben holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Warwick.
