Carmen Santos

Carmen Santos is an accomplished marine scientist with extensive research experience in marine sciences. Currently, Carmen serves as an Assistant Research Fellow at the Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) since 2016, following a role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CIIMAR from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, Carmen held the position of Invited Professor at Universidade do Algarve from 2019 to 2022. Carmen began academic pursuits as a Doctoral Research Fellow at Universidad de Cádiz from 2006 to 2011, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Additionally, Carmen holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Marine Sciences, also from Universidad de Cádiz.
