Brian Laden

Brian Laden has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Brian currently serves as the President and CEO of Appello Pharmaceuticals since March 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Tri-Star Health Partners from January 2010 to August 2016, where they held the roles of Partner and Managing Director. Brian joined NuSirt BioPharma in February 2014 as a Director, where they contributed to developing innovative treatments for chronic diseases associated with obesity and aging. Brian Laden also served as a Director at Cerebrotech Medical Systems starting from May 2012. Additionally, they held the position of Director at Molecular Sensing, Inc. from November 2011 to June 2016, where they played a significant role in commercializing new technology for biophysical characterization of small molecule interactions with drug targets. Brian Laden's earlier experience includes working as the Assistant Director of Technology Transfer and Enterprise Development at Vanderbilt University from January 2000 to January 2010.

Brian Laden obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Penn State University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Brian then pursued a Master's Degree in Environmental and Industrial Health at the University of Michigan for a year, from 1995 to 1996. Subsequently, Brian went on to complete their Ph.D. in Toxicology at the University of Kentucky, a four-year program that spanned from 1996 to 2000.
