Shaun Berry

Shaun Berry has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Shaun currently holds the position of Vice President of Research and Development at Certis Biologicals since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at BASF, where they held several roles, including Global Marketing Manager, Global Product Development Manager, and Global Team Leader for R&D Biologicals. At Becker Underwood, Shaun served as a Regional Product Development Manager and Provincial Sales Manager. Shaun began their career at the South African Sugarcane Research Institute as a Scientist, where they managed the Nematology Research Program for the South African Sugar Industry.

Shaun Berry has an extensive education history. From 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing / Innovation at North Carolina State University - College of Management. During the same period, they also earned a Certificate in Marketing from the same institution.

Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, Shaun obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Parasitology from the University of Montpellier. Before their PhD, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Plant Pathology/Molecular Biology from the University of the Witwatersrand from 1998 to 2000.

Moreover, Shaun achieved a BSc Honours in Microbiology in 1997, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Microbiology and Medical Biochemistry from the University of the Witwatersrand from 1994 to 1996.
