Kathleen Rowe

Kathleen Rowe has a diverse and extensive work experience. Kathleen is currently working at Cerus as the Sr. Global Health Policy Director since March 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Global Health Policy Director from January 2019 to March 2021 and was responsible for leading initiatives to improve industry practices related to blood products.

Before joining Cerus, Kathleen worked at MicroDevice Engineering, Inc. as an Industry Expert & Advisory Board Member. Kathleen played an integral role in securing grants and providing direction on the use of technology in blood centers and hospitals.

Kathleen also worked at Blood Centers of America, where they held multiple positions. As the Director of Plasma & Market Development, they managed contracts for plasma valued at $130MM in annual income. In their role as Director of Contracts & Business Development, they led marketing initiatives and played a key role in managing member networking groups.

Kathleen also worked at Clinical Research Management, Inc. as a Lead Consultant, Apheresis Plasma. In this role, they were part of an international team that launched apheresis plasma collection in West Africa, and they presented their findings at national and international meetings.

Earlier in their career, Kathleen held leadership positions at LifeServe Blood Center, where they optimized production for platelets and led inventory management efforts, and at Coastal Bend Blood Center, where they successfully closed the donor testing laboratory and managed a large-scale facility migration project.

Kathleen also has experience working at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and Fleet Hospital 15 USN.

Kathleen Rowe obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Anna Maria College between 1987 and 1992. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management from Eastern Connecticut State University from 1999 to 2001.
