Ken Davies

Ken Davies has extensive work experience in human resources, with a focus on total rewards, HR operations, and acquisitions. Ken is currently serving as the Head of Total Rewards and HR Operations and also as the HR Acquisitions Lead at Cetera Financial Group since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at the same company from November 2019 to November 2021.

Before joining Cetera Financial Group, Ken held several senior positions at HSBC. From March 2017 to July 2019, they served as the Chief Control Officer, HR & People Risk Steward, overseeing operational risk, data protection, cyber security, and compliance obligations. Ken also led the design and implementation of an approach to assess employee capability, capacity, and culture. From March 2015 to February 2017, Ken held the role of Chief Operating Officer, Learning and Talent Development and Head of Global Standards Program, where they worked on talent development, learning programs, and a complex change program related to anti-money laundering and sanctions. Ken was also the Head of Group Performance at HSBC from July 2013 to March 2015.

Ken took a career break from July 2012 to July 2013 to focus on family and travel. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at HSBC, serving as an HR Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific from April 2009 to July 2012. Ken also held roles such as Global Business Lead, Performance Management from August 2007 to April 2009, and Head of Reward and Performance Management, Insurance Brokers from May 2006 to August 2007.

Before their time at HSBC, Ken worked in various professional HR roles at companies including McLagan Partners, Barclays, UBS, and Goldman Sachs from 1993 to 2006.

Ken Davies earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The George Washington University from 1987 to 1991. Ken then went on to complete a Master's degree in Behavioral Psychology at Columbia University from 1991 to 1993.
