What you’ll be doing as a Project Manager

Project Managers at CFO Solutions enhance team collaboration to eliminate obstacles to project success. With a strong foundation in management consulting and finance information systems, the Project Manager is an advisor to clients and a mentor to the team. The Project Manager is a proactive, confident leader who keeps the project on schedule and on budget while nurturing client relationships. Balancing intuition with efficient processes and tools, the Project Manager utilizes a practical approach to create value for clients.

CFO Solutions Project Managers have the highest integrity; clients trust them, and the consulting team relies on them to enable them to do their best work.  This position can be located anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

• Define project schedule, tasks, milestones, and budget

• Manage scope, expectations, issues, and risks

• Identify stakeholders and nurture relationships

• Ensure collaboration in a distributed team environment (virtual/telecommuting)

• Delegate tasks, review progress, escalate issues

• Facilitate requirements gathering meetings

• Review deliverables for adherence to templates and quality

• Prepare status reports and facilitate meetings

• Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes

• Adhere to CFO Solutions’ implementation methodology

• Prepare invoices and audit time reporting

• Ability to manage simultaneous projects at multiple clients

• Ability to articulate financial close concepts and describe the components of standard financial statements and key calculations

• Ability to understand contracts and adhere to statements of work

• Ability to describe complex processes to audiences with varying skill levels

• Ability to travel up to 40% over the course of a year

• Ability to empathize and bond with clients while at the same time injecting structure and creating momentum

• Ability to communicate effectively, drive team momentum and influence dialog in a web conference remote environment with reliable high speed internet access that can support regular video and rich web conferencing

• Philosophy of Project Management that respects and adheres to the applicable standards in the context of an overall practical approach

The ideal CFO Solutions Project Manager

• 5+ years of progressive project management experience where responsibilities included creation and management of the project tasks, schedule, resources, and budget

• 3+ years of experience with financial processes such as planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial consolidations

• 3+ years of finance systems background and experience in one or more business intelligence, budgeting and planning, data warehouse, or reporting technologies

• 3+ years of experience in consultative roles in either IT or Management Consulting

• Experience leading teams of 5-30 people

• Experience executing 3-18 month projects

• CAPM certification; PMP certification highly desired; Smartsheet certification a plus

• College degree or industry equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting or IT

• Highly qualified candidates will have specific experience with enterprise performance management solutions, preferably in OneStream, Oracle, Planful, Board or Infor.

• Demonstrates accountability and personal drive

• Displays excellent written skills
