What you’ll be doing as a Board Senior Consultant

A Senior Consultant at CFO Solutions is a seasoned, lead technologist who understands how to translate client needs into business applications such as Board. Senior Consultants facilitate client discussions and build application components to suit the specific needs within the given EPM  software. They understand accounting processes, financial statements, and common business metrics in one or more industries. Senior Consultants are resourceful, effective problem-solvers and have a driven curiosity to learn new applications and apply newly gained knowledge.

The Senior Consultant will also partner on ongoing financial consolidation, planning and reporting projects while developing work plans and process documentation that comply with policies and methodologies and key project performance metrics.

The Senior Consultant is a proactive, reliable contributor to project delivery who can work effectively in teams and independently to create value for our clients. The position requires a firm understanding of task, time, and process management as this typical role is assigned to multiple active projects at a given time while having the potential to grow into a principal consultant role.

Responsibilities of the Board Senior Consultant

  • Design and implement functions of the Board application and required enhancements to existing client applications

  • Translate the need of the client into practical system architecture for financial consolidations, financial and operational planning/reporting, or other required solutions

  • Collaborate with team lead to define system definitions, develop functional and technical requirements, design, prototype, and implement Board solutions

  • Write procedures and rules for custom logic to facilitate client requirements within the system to adhere to their processes

  • Proactively and frequently communicate with various clients to maintain a solid working relationship

  • Design, adjust and implement custom reports, cube views, or report packages using Board reporting functionality to address company needs and improve frequency, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting

  • Produce and deliver documentation for design, training, and application administration

  • Operate independently or within a remote group to provide quality work products to an engagement.

  • Demonstrate expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

  • Ability to lead client focused UAT and administrator/end user training sessions to ensure seamless handoff during rollout

  • Actively participate in and/or support internal practice development activities such as new hire training

  • Position will report to Board Practice Management Team while having possibility of direct/indirect supervision of 1-2 consultants

The ideal CFO Solutions Board Senior Consultant

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with financial processes such as financial and operational planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial consolidations

  • Minimum 3 years of Enterprise Planning Performance Management / Reporting Cube technology exposure and functional knowledge around financial systems (i.e., Board, Anaplan, Pigment, etc.)

  • Ability to take ownership of deliverables, train consultants, and lead client facing discussions

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science areas of concentration) or industry equivalent experience
