Michelle Pakron, MBA, UXC, CUA has extensive experience in the field of user experience (UX) and design. Michelle is currently working as a Corporate Faculty in the Human-Centered Interaction Design (HCID) Graduate Program at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Prior to this, they served as the Head of UX Design at ChaiOne.

Michelle also has a background in freelance work, where they provided UX, UI, and front-end web development services as a consultant. Michelle started their freelance career in 1998 and continues to offer their services on a part-time basis.

In terms of their corporate experience, Michelle worked as a Lead UX Designer at ServiceMax, focusing on the LiquidFrameworks project. Michelle also served as the User Experience Lead and Product Owner at Memorial Hermann Health System, where they played a key role in the Agile SCRUM product team and provided leadership and mentorship to the team members.

Additionally, Michelle worked as a Senior UX Analyst & Designer at Invesco US, where they collaborated with cross-functional Agile SCRUM teams and mentored other UX staff members. Michelle also created training materials on various UX and web topics for the Digital Marketing team.

Before that, Michelle served as a UX Designer Consultant at GobySavvy UX Reviews, conducting expert heuristic reviews and managing UX design projects. Michelle was also the Director of Creative Content and SharePoint at Mississippi Interactive, overseeing the creative strategy and user experience for MSI projects and serving as a mentor and trainer to junior staff members.

Michelle's early career includes roles such as Freelance Designer at PAR Products and Sr. SharePoint Consultant at Particles Collide.

Michelle Pakron, MBA, UXC, CUA has a diverse and extensive education history spanning several years and institutions. From 1994 to 2000, they attended the University of New Orleans, where they pursued multiple fields of study including Graphic Design, Psychology, and Biology. In 2019, they enrolled at Lamar University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Arts & Sciences. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, which they completed between 2020 and 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Michelle holds several certifications to further enhance their skills and expertise in the field. Michelle obtained the Certified Usability Analyst certification from Human Factors International in April 2015 and became UX Certified from the Nielsen Norman Group in March 2016. In November 2020, they completed the UX Management: Strategy and Tactics program offered by the Interaction Design Foundation. Michelle further expanded their knowledge by acquiring the Design for the 21st Century with Don Norman certification from the Interaction Design Foundation in November 2021. Michelle then earned a Customer Experience Certificate from the University of South Florida in August 2022. Their most recent certification, obtained in May 2023, is the Service Design: How to Design Integrated Service Experiences certification from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF).
