Tala Hammash has worked for a variety of companies since 2012. Starting in 2012, they were a WISE Learner for the Learner's Voice Program at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE). In 2013, they worked as a Career Services Office (CSO) for Georgetown University. In 2014, they were an Education Development Fellow for Teach For Qatar. From 2016-2017, they worked as a Research and Program Development for the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education. From 2019-2020, they were a Co-Founder & COO for Rizzmi.me and a Chapter Lead for Tala Loves Data. In 2021, they are currently an Advisor & Project Lead for ChalkTalk, and from 2017-2021, they held various roles at New York University Abu Dhabi, such as Assistant Director of Programs & Experiential Marketing, Assistant Director of Programs & Events, Community Outreach Specialist, and Community Outreach Coordinator.

Tala Hammash's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, Political Science and Economics from Georgetown University with a concentration in Culture and Politics and a Minor in American Studies. Tala also holds a High School/Secondary Diploma Program from King's Academy. In 2021, they completed a course in Organizational Design for Digital Transformation from MIT Sloan Executive Education. Tala obtained a Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2018. Tala also attended a Pembroke College Summer Program at the University of Oxford and the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange & Study (YES) Program. In addition, they hold certifications from the National Career Development Association (NCDA) as a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP), from IDI, LLC as an IDI Qualified Administrator, from The LightHouse Arabia in Mental Health First Aid, from the Arab Foundations Forum (AFF) in Social Marketing & Behavior Change Communication, and from LeaderShape, Inc. in LeaderShape Institute.
