Meghan U. is a seasoned user researcher with extensive experience in AI and health technology. Currently serving as a Staff User Researcher at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Meghan leads user research focused on data strategy for AI models predicting cell behavior and facilitates collaboration with AI experts and academic researchers. Prior roles include managing user experience research for CELLxGENE, where Meghan contributed to significant advancements in understanding human biology through open source tools. Meghan has also held leadership positions at Kaiser Permanente, overseeing research initiatives to enhance consumer-facing products, as well as experience in civic technology at Microsoft and UX research roles at GE Digital and the University of Michigan. Meghan holds a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art and a Master of Information Science in Human Computer Interaction, both from the University of Michigan.
