Joe Ashkouti

Joe Ashkouti is managing senior counsel, Enterprise Functions, and chief privacy officer for Change Healthcare. He leads a team of legal subject matter experts covering a range of specialties, including privacy, litigation, healthcare regulatory, and intellectual property.

Mr. Ashkouti was previously assistant general counsel at McKesson Corporation, where he led the team supporting the company’s clinical and pharmacy claims networks. His career focusing on the legal aspects of healthcare technology and privacy began after joining WebMD as one the company’s earliest employees.

Mr. Ashkouti earned a law degree from the University of Georgia, an M.B.A. in International Business from Georgia State University, and a B.A. in both International Relations and Spanish Literature from Emory University.

He is board chairman of People Making Progress Inc., an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization that provides job training and housing to adults with developmental disabilities.
