Nikolay Stanchev

Nikolay Stanchev is a data scientist with extensive experience in the financial technology sector and risk management. Currently employed at Channel since July 2022, Nikolay has developed a risk decision engine for SME lending and fostered collaboration with software and data vendors. Previously, at 4most, Nikolay executed multiple financial modeling projects for major European banks and implemented a pricing algorithm for mortgage products. Experience at Lloyds Banking Group involved optimizing risk identification for credit card holders, while work at Telenor included creating a Machine Learning pipeline that reduced customer churn. Early career roles at Experian and PwC encompassed delivering global Machine Learning projects and automating workflows, respectively. Nikolay's educational background includes a Master's degree in Econometrics and Finance from Maastricht University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University for National and World Economy. Additionally, an Erasmus program in Finance was completed at Vilnius University.
