Patrick Bell has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Patrick started their career at Southampton City Council as a Business Support Assistant, where they improved operational efficiency by implementing electronic processes. Patrick then moved on to become an IT Procurement Analyst, responsible for sourcing IT orders and managing suppliers. Afterward, Patrick worked at Capita IT Services as a Service Desk Analyst, providing first-line support and incident management for Southampton City Council. Patrick also acted as an admin user for the CMS system, streamlining workflows and creating self-service tools. Patrick then joined Kingfisher IT Services as a Service Desk Team Leader, managing a busy service desk and overseeing staff performance. Later, they worked at Southampton Football Club as an IT Service Desk Manager, implementing an ITIL framework and managing the service desk. Following this, Patrick worked at SCC as a Service Support Manager, creating and distributing service reports and chairing meetings. Patrick then became a Service Delivery Manager, acting as a primary point of contact for clients and ensuring effective incident, problem, and change management. In their current role at Channel 4, Patrick serves as a Service Delivery Lead, overseeing multiple corporate systems, promoting ITIL best practices, and driving improvements within the team.

Patrick Bell attended Swansea University from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained an HND degree in Environmental Studies. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications in IT and cybersecurity risk management, AWS, ITIL, Microsoft System Center Service Manager administration, and operational support and analysis.
