Lawrielle West

Lawrielle West, MSW, serves as Volunteer & Internship Coordinator at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, a position held since January 2024, while concurrently working as Technical Assistant Manager at The Management Center and Director of Operations and Partnerships at LWest & Co since March 2022. Lawrielle also holds the title of Director of Sales, Marketing and Community Impact at KwanzaaMe, a lifestyle brand promoting cultural celebration. Previous roles include African World Festival Coordinator at the Charles H. Wright Museum, Monroe Midway Site Coordinator at Bedrock Detroit, Midwest Regional Director at BYP100, and Director of Operations, Comms & Culture at Detroit Action. Lawrielle has a strong educational background with a Master of Social Work focusing on Community Organization and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan, complemented by additional training at the University of Oxford and a diploma from Cass Technical High School.
