Dr Fredrik Velander

Dr. Fredrik Velander is a seasoned academic and researcher with extensive experience in mental health, social work, and community development. Currently serving as Course Director and University Lecturer/Researcher at Charles Sturt University since 2010, Dr. Velander specializes in teaching mental health and social work theory and practice, while actively researching areas such as ageing, working life, and sustainability. Previous roles include Coordinator at WA Country Health Service and Project Coordinator at Curtin University's National Drug Research Institute. Dr. Velander earned a Doctor of Philosophy in International Public Health from Curtin University and has completed various advanced studies in working life research, statistics, and social work from Mid Sweden University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
