Sangita Bhaker

Sangita Bhaker is a Senior Research Scientist at Charnwood Discovery since December 2021, specializing in supporting the Bioscience Department through the development and delivery of customized biological screening assays for preclinical drug discovery, as well as training junior staff and maintaining laboratory operations. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Scientist at Sygnature Discovery from September 2017 to December 2021, and various research positions at the University of Nottingham, where Sangita held roles as a Research Associate and Research Technician from February 2017 to February 2013. Sangita began a career in academia as a Student Services Officer at Newcastle University from September 2010 to June 2011. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Respiratory Medicine from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
