Michael Barber

Michael Barber has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael is currently working as the Vice President of Marketing at Charter School Capital since January 2023. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Member at 1820 Investment Group, LLC, a private equity investment group, from July 2008 onwards. Michael also gained experience as a Brand Consultant and Marketing Strategist between January 2020 and January 2023. Michael served as an Advisor at ClinicianNexus, a company providing solutions for managing clinical rotations, from August 2016 to December 2021. Before that, they held the position of SVP and Chief Creative Officer at Godfrey, where they led a creative team of over 36 individuals from February 2018 to January 2020. Michael also founded barber&hewitt, a company assisting marketing and agency teams, and joined Godfrey in February 2018. Michael worked as Vice President of Strategy and Director of Digital Strategy at COHN Marketing from November 2011 to January 2015, and founded ValuText, a location-based mobile marketing platform, from June 2011 to May 2013. Michael was also the Director of Digital Strategy at Defero from October 2010 to November 2011, and served as a Guest Lecturer at Arizona State University from September 2008 to September 2010, where they delivered lectures on the impacts of digital and new media on marketing.
