Shiva Empranthiri

Shiva Empranthiri started their work experience in 2014 as a Software QA Intern at Evernote, where they automated testing using Selenium with a Java back-end and managed offsite teams for testing new features. In 2015, they joined Intuit as a Software Engineering Intern and built a verification library in Node.js for content rendering across the TurboTax suite of applications. They also contributed to an internal React tool for dynamically mocking JSON content on the TurboTax web application.

In 2016, Shiva continued their internship at Intuit as a Software Engineering Intern and worked on full-stack feature development for both the TurboTax mobile and web applications, focusing on improving performance and optimizing data input.

After completing their internships, Shiva joined Intuit as a Software Engineer in 2017. They worked on full stack development and technical ownership of the onboarding and offboarding experience for Intuit Experts, supporting the TurboTax Live and Quickbooks Live platforms. They built full-stack applications using modern technologies such as React, Redux, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS. They also utilized tools and technologies like Kubernetes on AWS, Docker, Jenkins, and Splunk for monitoring and logging.

In 2021, Shiva transitioned to a new position as a Senior Software Engineer at Check, where their responsibilities and role title were not provided.

Shiva Empranthiri attended Santa Clara High School from 2011 to 2013 but did not receive a degree or study a specific field during that time. After completing high school, Shiva went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. This academic journey took place from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, Shiva obtained a certification as a Triplebyte Certified Front End Engineer from Triplebyte in December 2020.
