James Brotsos

James Brotsos has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. James is currently the Head of Product Management at Checkmarx, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Lead Product Manager and Product Manager at Checkmarx from February 2022 to October 2022 and November 2020 to February 2022, respectively. Before joining Checkmarx, James served as a Sr. Solutions Engineer at Checkmarx from July 2018 to November 2020.

In addition to their time at Checkmarx, James also volunteered as a Teacher at TEALSK12 for five years, from August 2014 to June 2019. James worked as a Sr. Solutions Engineer at Synopsys Inc from August 2016 to July 2018. James has also taught Computer Science at UC Berkeley as a Teacher in 2016 and 2015.

Before their work in education and technology companies, James gained experience as a Software Engineer at Wind River from February 2006 to August 2016 and at Paravirtual Corporation from June 2003 to February 2006. James started their career as a Software Engineer at Routerware Inc in 1999, where they worked until 2001.

James Brotsos earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from DePaul University between 1996 and 1999. James later pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Network Programming between 2001 and 2003. Additionally, in November 2018, James Brotsos achieved certification as a Checkmarx Certified Engineer from Checkmarx.
