Anjana Manian

Anjana Manian has a strong background in engineering and product management. Anjana is currently the Head of Engineering - Checkr International at Checkr, Inc., where they are responsible for building and expanding Checkr's international background screening product. Anjana developed the API strategy for integration with regional and country-specific data providers and created a Checkr API platform and developer portal.

Prior to their current role, Anjana worked at PayPal as an Engineering Manager - Partner & Marketplace. In this role, they managed multiple teams and led the migration of a legacy product to the new PayPal Marketplace. Anjana also spearheaded an Operational Excellence initiative.

Before PayPal, Anjana co-founded EasyHire.me and served as the Head of Product & Engineering. Anjana built the cloud-based, multi-tenant SaaS platform from the ground up and grew the team to support over 10,000 users globally.

Anjana also has experience at Velocius Networks (acquired by Akamai), where they were the Director of Product Management. Anjana helped build an on-premise hardware + software solution for network traffic visibility and developed a platform for managing bandwidth allocation across enterprise applications.

In addition, Anjana worked at Cisco Systems as a Technical Leader, leading projects related to storage, authentication, distribution, and caching of content and video on Cisco's CDN platform.

Anjana'searly career includes roles at Apprion Inc as a Senior Software Engineer, where they implemented a scalable metric processing gateway and data lake for industrial IoT sensors, and at Oracle, where they contributed to XML and DOM standards as a Principal Software Engineer and Member Technical Staff.

Throughout their career, Anjana has demonstrated expertise in engineering, product management, and leadership.

Anjana Manian has a diverse education history. Anjana obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi in 1992. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1992 to 1996. Anjana has also attended Stanford University, though the details of their time there are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Anjana has obtained various certifications. In 2018, they completed the "AWS Fundamentals: Going Cloud-Native" course from Coursera. In 2017, they completed several courses, including "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Elastic Cloud Infrastructure: Containers and Services," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Building a Data Science Team," "Data Science in Real Life," "Managing Data Analysis," and "A Crash Course in Data Science," all from Coursera.
