Alex Munter has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Alex served as the President and CEO of CHEO, a renowned pediatric health and research center. At CHEO, they led a team of 4,500 staff and oversaw the provision of exceptional patient care, groundbreaking research, and training for future healthcare professionals. Prior to this, they were the CEO of the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), where they were responsible for strategic direction and coordination of the region's health system and funding for healthcare organizations. Alex also worked as the Executive Director of the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa, a large child and youth mental health agency, and as a City and Regional Councillor for the City of Ottawa. Additionally, they served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Ottawa.
Alex Munter attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Behavioral Sciences. Alex also completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa and earned a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree.
