Jim Koerner is a skilled exhibition designer and projects manager with extensive experience in the museum and art sectors. Currently at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum since June 2019, Jim conceptualizes and produces temporary exhibitions, employing 3-D models to plan effective layouts. Previously, as an exhibition design technician at the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens, Jim collaborated with curatorial teams to maintain budgetary constraints while enhancing exhibition capabilities. Experience includes leading a team for the Smithsonian Institution's Building 18 project, managing collections at Towson University, and teaching art appreciation at The Community College of Baltimore County. Jim holds a Master of Fine Arts from Towson University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design.
